Warren was born in Illinois and raised in Southern California. He graduated from Palm Springs High School and from The University of San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in accounting (Magna Cum Laude). He has been a Member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and a CPA since 1981.
Warren has over 35 years of public accounting experience with primarily focus on the taxation and accounting areas of small business. He is a business consultant, retirement planner and succession planning expert. Warren is the president and chief financial officer of several privately held successful San Diego Businesses. He serves on the board of directors and as a trustee for several clients.
He is the Managing Partner and founder of Thefeld and Associates, which began in 1984. His leadership contribution caused this firm to grow to one of the top local CPA firms in San Diego County. His Professional Activities include a Member of the American Institute of CPA’s as well as membership in the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is the former treasurer of the National Association of Accountants, San Diego Chapter.
Warren is happily married to Julieta for over 35 years and has two sons; His oldest son, Marcus is an associate with the National Retail Group at Marcus & Mellichap. His younger son, Matthew is a member of Thefeld and Associates Staff.
Warren enjoys his family, biking, cars, and sports.
